Electronic Bates Stamp - Multiple Files Explained
Common Sense Software uses the following description to handle multiple electronic files.

Same - this means that multiple files will be stamped all the same. Each file will have the starting number on the first page of document. (i.e. - document 1- page numbers 1 to 100, document 2 - page numbers 1 to 100, document 3 - page numbers 1to 100, etc.)
Across - this means that multiple files will be stamped across all the files. Each file will have the next sequential number from the last number of the previous document. Treat a group of files as one. (i.e. - document 1 - page numbers 1 to 100, document 2 - page numbers 101 to 200, document 3 - page numbers 201 to 300, etc.)
Same/Separate - this means that multiple files will be stamped all the same. Each file will have the starting number on the first page of document. (i.e. - document 1- page numbers 1 to 100, document 2 - page numbers 1 to 100, document 3 - page numbers 1to 100, etc.) and a Separate Variable will be added to each page that changes when the file changes. (i.e. - document 1 - Exhibit A, document 2 - Exhibit B, document 3 - Exhibit C, etc.)
